Christmas Surprise!

Justin and I decided than since we were planning on spending Christmas in Idaho Falls with his family, that we would open the gifts from my family and our gifts to each other on Christmas Eve. We knew that we were getting a Wii from my Mom, but it was fun to see the accessories we got to go with it. A few odds and ends from other family members and then it was time to exchange our gifts to each other.

Justin told me I had to open my gifts last so he picked up and quickly unwrapped a hunting watch that I got him. Next he opened the Bears jacket that he seemed pretty happy about. I thought I did pretty good gift wise for him. Hunting and the Bears are pretty much his two favorite things in the world so it's hard to not to go wrong with either of them.

I was sitting on the floor while Justin opened his gifts, and when he was done he got up and went into fridge (I was super confused) and he brought me back a dozen red roses with baby white roses. They were amazing and I had no idea I was getting them, really I had no idea what he had in store for me at all for Christmas. After a picture or two of the flowers and smelling them of course! Justin handed me the one wrapped gift left under the tree. I pulled off all the silver wrapping paper to discover a white box, after opening the white box I found a maroon box with a bow I opened that box to find a little box, I left the little box in the larger box while I opened the little box. I was absolutely stunned to find a beautiful ring inside, I'm pretty sure neither of a breathed for 30 seconds. I was already crying and when I looked up (since I was totally frozen) Justin was on his knees. He told me he wanted to marry me and I just kept crying, which made him tear up. I think it took me about 3 or 4 minutes to tell him yes! All this time I haven't even really looked at the ring, Justin finally pulls it out of the box and puts it on my hand.

Needless to say I hadn't packed yet so I was a mess trying to figure out what to take with me, and I forgot more than I packed I think. But it was fun to see the reaction of Justin's family, apparently only a couple of people knew what he was planning and no one is is family knew! Justin laughs when he catches me looking at my ring, BUT in my defense it's huge! It's way bigger than anything I would have ever picked out had we gone together. He did a wonderful job it's fits me perfect and when we stopped by to see Josh at Alpine I didn't see anything in the case that came even close to my ring!

We haven't picked a date for sure yet but we are thinking a short engagement; probably an April wedding!
